Before I start, I just wantted to say that the two posts after Matts were mine. I'd forgotten to put my name to them.
After the year introduction, I started to research with more focus and looked at interchanges related to the transportation world.
Below are a few quotes which I found interested and could be points of discussion:
"Transport Interchanges are the places where people exchange their culture, language or information for their own development, or it is the place where ideas meet. As an architectm I believe the most important factor is to provide more open space for traffic, in other words, to be able to structure space to produce a difference in culture, language and vakye, and thus, activate the traffic" SHIN TAKAMATSU
"The airport signifies neither gate nor portal, rather a realm of anticipatory trajectories structured by desire and displacement...Airport space is city space, filled to capacity with the vectors of urban life; a space where a strange sort of social democracy prevails and where no one seems necessarily concerned with their own equalised state and levelled status."
"The quality of mobility, stemming from and concurring with the bridge's identity as a place of "transport interchange" expresses itself as a form of transgression." VAN BERKEL & BOS: BAS SCHLOSS- A RECONSTRUCTION OF CHANGE.
